19th January 2010

I have recently ventured into the world of Chainmaille Jewellery and have therefore added a new page with 7 new pieces.

Chainmaille began in Medieval times as a method of weaving metal to create armour for knights. Today, chainmaille has been adapted by artists to form supple jewellery with exquisite lines, popular with both men and women. It's incredibly versatile and can produce delicate, lacy pieces as well as those of a more substantial and dramatic nature.

There are several basic families of chainmaille. Within these are dozens of different patterns or weaves, of which my pieces are but a few.

10th January 2010

Five new pieces added to the Solely Silver page including a set based on a figure of eight knot.

At present there are 5 necklaces and 8 pairs of earrings, featuring Blue Topaz, Peridot, Madeira Citrine, and Green and Purple Amethyst. You can find them on the menu under the heading Gemstone Jewellery.

Sales are in US$ and you can find a current exchange rate converter at Currency Converter
