I made this for a Christmas based challenge "What does Christmas mean to you". Using my childhood memories of dressing the tree I came up with this rather alternative Christmas pendant.

The beautiful bead is by Julie at Lush Lampwork. The hand shaped wire is decorated with patterned Hill Tribe silver beads.

The pendant hangs on 20½ inches of medium weight belcher chain which fastens with a handmade clasp. The pendant is 4½ inches long.

Galileo

A slightly larger version of the Callisto pendant, using 1.5mm wire. The Verdigris beads by Emma at The Flying Bead have blue green and gold running thorough them.

On a silver belcher chain measuring 24 inches and fastened with a handmade clasp.

The pendant measures 3¼ inches.

Serpent

Dragonscale bead by Kate at Sublime Beads - a beautiful effect with soft subtle colours.

Hand shaped 1.3mm silver wire swoops through and over the bead.

Hung 24 inches of silver curb chain fastened with a handcrafted clasp. If you would prefer a silk ribbon as shown on the Dragon pendant please contact me.

The pendant drop is almost 3 inches.

Epione

Featuring a wonderful shimmery focal bead by Lesley McFarland teamed with handmade silver drops that slightly fan out. These will move when you do with a satisfying sway.

Hung by a handcrafted silver bail on 26 inches of medium weight silver belcher chain and finished with a handcrafted silver clasp.

The whole pendant, including the bail, measures 6¼ inches.

Dragon

Named after the Dragonscale bead by Kate at Sublime Beads - a beautiful effect with soft subtle colours. Hand shaped 1.5mm silver wire swoops through and over the bead.

Hung on a purple/blue silk ribbon from Diane at Sowzere. The ribbon has been treated with Fray check to prevent fraying and left free to tie at the required length.

Callisto

Starting life as a casually scribbled doodle, this pendant is formed from two interlocking pieces of 1.3mm wire - hand shaped, hardened and polished.

Featuring purple "lace" beads from Sabine at Little Castle Designs.

Hanging on 19½ inches of medium weight silver belcher chain and fastened with a handmade clasp.

The pendant is 3 inches long.

Tectonic

Square wire seemed to lend itself to this sculptural piece. With a handcrafted silver drop hanging between mirror shine beads from Shari Slonski.

The silver belcher chain is 25 inches long and is fastened with a turnable lobster clasp.

Cherish

Wisps of blue and green seem to float in this borosilicate glass bead by Emma at The Flying Bead, suspended by a handcrafted swirly silver bail.

A hand dyed silk ribbon from Diane at Sowzere complete the pendant. The ribbon is 40 inches long and the ends are left free to be tied at the desired length. The ribbon can be washed on a cool wash. The ends have been treated with Fray Check to stop them fraying.

The pendant is 3 inches long.
